For many years I’ve used the viton rubber rear main seal. 98% of the time they worked perfect with no leaks. These graphite rear seals have fixed the leaking viton rubber seals. As an engine builder, a leaking rear main seal is the worse! So I am now offering these seals to the public. The rope seals included in gasket sets are terrible. They have a tendancy to leak – sometimes not right away, but almost guaranteed later on – as soon a year!
These seals have been tested for many years with the best results! The graphite cuts very nice, forms very well.
I’ve included my personal instructions (that differ from others) for engines on stand and crank removed.
I have replaced several leaking seals with crank installed and it is a lot of labor. I’m in process of making a kit for those applications soon.
