Aluminum High Port

High Port Pontiac head by KRE. This head is completely different from other aluminum heads. This head is available with initial flow numbers around 330 cfm. Works well with large displacement stroker engines. All heads will CNC chambers and will be capable of flowing 400 cfm.  The heads will bolt to traditional Pontiac blocks as well as aftermarket blocks. Heads do not require off-set lifters or rocker shaft systems(except 400 cfm version).  

Dyno info:

         Out of the box heads make 628 tq and 700 HP on a 463 CID engine

         Rockershafted set on a 505 CID make 903 HP @ 7500 rpm's

         505 Pontiac makes 775 hp and 718 ft lbs of torque with AS CAST KRE High Ports

         Rockershafted set on a 540 CID make 1042 HP @ 7600 rpm's

         Out of the box set on a 467 CID make 632 HP @ 5900 rpm's on pump gas & hyd roller

         Std pushrod set on a 505 CID make 850 HP @ 6900 rpm's with single Dominator carb

         Std 80 cc pushrod set on a 463 CID with a 230 dur. .565 lift hyd roller cam makes 580 HP on pump gas with 12 inches of vacuum @ 850 rpm's

         Exhaust port is standard Pontiac round port configuration

         Utilizes standard pushrod location for 3/8" pushrods

         Initial flow of approximately 330 cfm on the intake 

         Will use a 2.20 intake valve and a 1.70 exhaust valve

         Valve lengths will be around 6.200 - requires longer pushrods

         Valve angle is 14 degrees (stock pistons will work)

         Rocker shafted set available on request (.700 offset)

         Minimum bore size of 4.150

         CNC'd combustion chambers available - 56, 64 and 80cc's with (72cc coming soon)

         CNC ported versions of 350, 365, 380, 400 and 400+ cfm

** Complete heads come with 1200 series Ferrea valves(better then 6000 series), titanium  retainers, 10 degree locks, PC seals, roller cam springs for .750 lift, ARP rocker studs, spring cups and 5 angle valve job.

Aluminum D-ports

Spotts Performance sells and installs KRE D-port aluminum heads for both street/strip and all out race. This head is available with initial flow numbers around 260 cfm and out performs most factory ported iron heads but with a lighter weight and allows more compression for pump gas applications.  This heads comes as cast with a 65cc chamber but we recommend the 74 and 85cc CNC'd chambers.  The heads will bolt to traditional Pontiac blocks as well as the aftermarket blocks and do not require off-set lifters or rocker shaft systems. Most D-port parts interchange for those who want to update to aluminum heads, but use their old iron head parts.

Proven Dyno info:

         Out of the box heads make 552 tq and 500 HP on a 463 CID engine with a std hyd camshaft

         85cc 325cfm set on a 535 CID pump gas makes 675 HP @ 5800 rpm's with hyd roller on 12inches of vac @ 800 rpm's

         Out of the box set on a 461 CID make 531 HP @ 5600 rpm's on pump gas & hyd roller

         74cc race gas roller cam 487 CID makes 695 HP @ 6400 rpm's with single Dominator carb

         325 cfm - 74 cc heads on 463 cid run 9.62 @ 137 in 3250 lb 65' GTO

Spotts Performance has successfully ported iron heads and aluminum heads of all types for many years now.

D-port (customer supplied head)

STAGE ONE - Disassemble, bake, shot peen, check for cracks,special bowl cut, install new bronze guides, resurface, competition valve job, set spring heights. New parts include freeze plugs, spring shims, bronze valve guides and viton rubber seals...........$485.00

STAGE TWO (PORTING) - Disassemble, bake, shot peen, check for cracks,special bowl cut, port intake to 240 cfm (major short turn, bowl work)- exhaust to 200, install new bronze guides and machine for Teflon seals, elongate pushrod holes, unshroud valves, de-flash, raise roof to RAIV port size, match exhaust port to header gasket, remove port "bumps" resurface, competition valve job, set spring heights. New parts include freeze plugs, spring shims, bronze valve guides and Teflon seals..........$900.00
